Chemistry I-Regular & Chemistry I – Honors Activities are ostensibly the same. Differences will be announced when the honors classes pursue different activities. Honors Chemistry has higher expectations and achieves greater depth. Testing is differentiated.
Abbreviations used in the table:
(!) Intense day, 60 min work in 55 min, IQ- Ion Quiz, Z- Test; ED-Early Dismissal, H-Holiday; IR-Interim Reports, RC-Report Cards, SH-Student Holiday, TBA-To be announced
N.B.:! Lab days are intense. You must come to class with your brief notes & data tables, and know what you are going to be doing. Pre-plan who will do each function or you will never finish before the bell. For example, one person could get test tubes ready with solutions, another could get a solid and measure it out, and one person could be the team's recorder and cleanup/disposal person. Everyone must have their own lab document, and have all data/observations recorded.
